FICCI FLO, the women’s wing of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry, along with Sleepwell Foundation, New Delhi held a conclave on wellbeing named ‘Wellness Rules!’ today. In its 29th year now, the Chennai Chapter of FLO organised this event in collaboration with Sleepwell Foundation, which is part of the Sheela Group.
At the inaugural function, the Chief Guest, actor and director, Ms. Revathy Asha Kelunni said, “Wellness for women is beyond surviving, it is about thriving and doing exactly what we want. If the women of the country are taken care of, we will be able to achieve a lot more. I also work with an NGO in Kerala to help with cases where women are harassed as we women need to hold hands and stand together.”
“As part of our emotional wellness, we need to choose our battles, decide on what is our most important priority and let the other matters go. Over the last few years, I have been focused primarily on my own wellness as I realised that only if I stand strong by myself can I help others,” she added.
Ms. Prasanna Vasanadu, Chairperson, FLO, Chennai Chapter, in her welcome address, said “The women of today lead multifaceted lives. Their need, be they entrepreneurs or career women in organisations or the backbone of a household, is a life where health is holistic. Giving a greater focus to the wellbeing of women today is what we at FLO and Sleepwell Foundation are doing through this event.”
Ms. Namita Gautam, Managing Trustee, Sleep Foundation, in her address reminded the gathering that in the new world order, post pandemic, it is the women who will pull the family towards proactive wellness, faster, better and with significant outcomes.
