A.R. Murugadoss production ‘August 16, 1947’ unveils official release date with latest poster!

The wait is almost over! The story of India’s Independence we never knew… will soon arrive on the big screen! ‘August 16, 1947’ will release in cinemas on the 7th of April 2023. The makers of the thrilling epic have shared an interesting poster that reveals the official release date.
Featuring lead star Gautham Karthik, debutant Revathy, comedy icon Pugazh and the entire ensemble cast in the backdrop of an erstwhile village, the unique poster leaves us hooked from the word go. The actors flaunt a glowing smile on their faces and adorn shiny  attires. One is left to wonder what this euphoria is all about! The cherry on top is the unveiling of the film’s worldwide release date.

Produced by A.R. Murugadoss along with Om Prakash Bhatt and Narsiram Choudhary, ‘August 16, 1947’ tells the power packed and inspiring tale of one man from a small village who shook the living daylights out of the British Empire with the power of his love.
